How It Works

Important Safety Information
Tadalafil must not be used with nitrates or recreational nitrite “poppers,” because this combination can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated with guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat, and in people with serious hypersensitivity to tadalafil. Tadalafil can further lower blood pressure with alpha-blockers, antihypertensives, alcohol, and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole or ritonavir. Caution is advised in cardiovascular disease, severe liver impairment, significant kidney impairment, and conditions that may predispose to priapism. Rare vision loss and sudden hearing loss have been reported.
Possible Side Effects
Common adverse effects include headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle pain, nasal congestion, flushing, dizziness, and diarrhoea. Less common but important reactions include prolonged erection, sudden loss of vision, sudden hearing changes, and allergic skin reactions.
