Lovegra oral jelly (Sildenafil) 100 mg – 7 sachets
Lovegra oral jelly 100 mg is a sildenafil product. Sildenafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used for erectile dysfunction in men. The oral jelly form is a different dosage form, but the verified active ingredient is sildenafil.
Active Ingredient and Medicine Class
Active ingredient: sildenafil. Medicine class: PDE5 inhibitor. Sildenafil is a vasodilating medicine that enhances the nitric oxide–cGMP pathway in penile tissue, which supports erectile function during sexual stimulation.
Established Medical Uses
Sildenafil is established for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Regulatory and prescribing sources describe it as an oral treatment for men with ED, and clinical reviews and meta-analyses show improved erectile function and successful intercourse compared with placebo.
How It Works
Sildenafil blocks PDE5, an enzyme that breaks down cGMP. By preserving cGMP, it helps relax smooth muscle and increase blood flow in penile tissue in response to sexual stimulation. It does not create an erection without sexual arousal.
Important Safety Information
Sildenafil is contraindicated with nitrates or nitric oxide donors because of the risk of marked blood pressure lowering. It is also contraindicated with riociguat. Caution is needed with alpha-blockers and other antihypertensive medicines because of additive hypotensive effects. Sources also note important restrictions in patients with severe cardiovascular disease, recent stroke or myocardial infarction, severe hypotension, severe hepatic impairment, hereditary retinal disorders, and prior non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy-related vision loss.
Possible Side Effects
Common adverse effects include headache, flushing, dyspepsia, nasal congestion, dizziness, nausea, visual disturbance, blurred vision and back pain. Important serious reactions reported in prescribing information include priapism, sudden vision changes or loss of vision, sudden hearing loss, and allergic reactions.
Scientific Evidence
PubMed-indexed systematic reviews and meta-analyses show that sildenafil improves erectile function and increases the likelihood of successful intercourse versus placebo. Published safety reviews found the most frequent adverse effects were generally mild to moderate and consistent with its vasodilator action.
