How It Works

Important Safety Information
Tadalafil must not be used with nitrates or with guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat because of the risk of marked hypotension. It also requires caution with alpha-blockers, antihypertensives and substantial alcohol intake. Dapoxetine should not be used in patients with certain heart rhythm problems, a history of fainting, mania or severe depression, and it has important interaction risks with MAO inhibitors, thioridazine and other serotonergic medicines. Possible Side Effects
Common adverse effects associated with tadalafil include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, dyspepsia and back pain. Dapoxetine is associated with nausea, dizziness, headache and diarrhoea, and it may cause fainting in some patients. Serious adverse reactions can include symptomatic hypotension, priapism with tadalafil, and serotonin syndrome or significant cardiac effects with dapoxetine in susceptible patients or when interacting medicines are used.
Scientific Evidence
Clinical studies have examined dapoxetine with tadalafil in men who have both premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. A randomized crossover pharmacokinetic study found no clinically relevant pharmacokinetic interaction between dapoxetine and tadalafil, while later controlled trials and reviews suggest that adding a PDE5 inhibitor to dapoxetine may help some men with comorbid symptoms. However, the evidence base is still limited compared with the evidence for each ingredient used separately.
