Description
P-Force oral jelly
P-Force oral jelly is a combination product containing sildenafil and dapoxetine. The supplied description is consistent with a medicine intended for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, but the exact branded product and its market authorisation could not be verified from an official regulatory source. The information below is therefore based on the verified active ingredients.
Active Ingredient and Medicine Class
Sildenafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It is an established treatment for erectile dysfunction. Dapoxetine is a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used for premature ejaculation in some jurisdictions. Together, they combine a vasodilating erectile-dysfunction medicine with a serotonin-reuptake inhibitor used for ejaculatory control.
Established Medical Uses
Sildenafil is established for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Dapoxetine is established for the treatment of premature ejaculation in adult men in regions where it is authorised. Combination use has been studied in men with both premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction, but the combination itself is not a universally authorised standard medicine.
How It Works
Sildenafil helps increase blood flow to the penis by inhibiting PDE5, which supports the nitric oxide/cGMP pathway involved in erection. Dapoxetine increases serotonin activity by inhibiting serotonin reuptake, which can delay ejaculation. The combined approach targets two different sexual dysfunctions, but the clinical effect depends on the underlying condition and individual response.
Important Safety Information
Sildenafil is contraindicated with nitrates and with guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat because of the risk of marked hypotension. It should also be used cautiously in people with cardiovascular disease, a history of non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy, or when taken with alpha-blockers, antihypertensives, strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, or ritonavir. Dapoxetine should be used cautiously with other serotonergic medicines because of the risk of serotonin syndrome, and with medicines that may increase fainting risk. The combination may increase the likelihood of additive adverse effects such as dizziness or blood-pressure lowering. This medicine is not suitable for use with other erectile dysfunction treatments unless specifically reviewed by a clinician.
Possible Side Effects
Reported adverse effects of sildenafil commonly include headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness, abnormal vision, back pain, myalgia, nausea, and rash. Dapoxetine is associated with nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhoea, insomnia, and fainting or near-fainting in some patients. Serious but less common reactions may include severe hypotension, syncope, priapism, allergic reactions, visual or hearing problems, and serotonin syndrome.
Scientific Evidence
Clinical studies have evaluated dapoxetine with sildenafil in men who have both premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. Published evidence suggests that the combination can improve ejaculatory latency and patient-reported sexual function in selected patients, with adverse effects generally reflecting those expected from the two component medicines. Evidence remains limited compared with the individual established uses of sildenafil and dapoxetine.
